All of these apps are available for Android devices. I haven’t been compensated for my reviews, I just want to share what apps are out there. See more categories under menu Android App Reviews.

Cover artLittle Piano (Pro) (Free) ✰✰✰✰

This is a decent little app that is mostly just a simple keyboard (one octave from c-c).  This would be nice for plucking out a simple melody, or finding an exact note.  There are 8 different instrument sounds to choose from, as well a number of different melodies that it will show you how to play.  The one downfall is the melodies don’t show you any sort of rhythm, so unless you know it they sound pretty boring.  The only difference I saw between the free and pro versions was that the free one has adds.

Cover artKids Music Piano (free) ✰✰✰✰

A graphically pleasing basic piano for kids.  All white keys are labeled with letter numbers. The sound that is played when a key is played can be piano, xylophone, drums, or guitar.  The only thing I really didn’t like was that there are adds, but that is understandable since it is a free app.
